Hand baggage

The hand baggage will be carried by you in the passenger cabin and must be placed under the seat in front of you or in the baggage overhead compartment.

Each passenger is allowed to carry on board only one piece of hand baggage and one personal item. Maximum weight of hand baggage is 5 kg or 11 lbs and its size (Length + Width + Height) must not exceed the sum of 126 cm or 50 in (56 x 45 x 25 cm or 22 x 18 x 10 in).

These dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets, etc.
A briefcase or laptop is also allowed as hand baggage.
Beside the hand baggage, some of the following items, if necessary, are allowed on board: blanket, overcoat or jacket, umbrella, ladies handbag, reading matter and dictionary / phrase book for the journey, writing material, small camera, small music player, binoculars, infant’s carrying basket, baby food, any kind of prostheses, dialysis medical equipment or other medications you depend on.

We recommend you to carry in your cabin baggage all your documents and valuable items (for instance, passport and any other means of identification, visa, international vaccination passport, international health insurance certificates, travel documents, securities, negotiable papers, electronic equipment, money and credit cards, jewelry, medication).

Delivery at aircraft

This service is only available to passengers who have booked Economy Premium Class(YHB) tickets.

If your hand baggage is oversized / overweighed (can be even a pushchair/ stroller/ wheelchair) but you do not wish it to be checked, the check-in agent will attach a special label marked “Delivery at Aircraft” (DAA) to your baggage. This type of baggage must not weigh more than 8 kg. Upon boarding, you will hand your baggage over to the handling agent and it will be handed back to you at the aircraft stairs upon disembarkation.

This procedure can also be used if you have a very short connection time.

Prohibited items in the hand baggage or on one’s person

Weapons of all kinds, including imitations and toys
Knives of all kinds and sizes, irrespective of the length of the blade
Razor blades, metal scissors, corkscrews
Objects emitting gases or harmful substances
Walking sticks with metal tips
Explosive and inflammable substances
Baseball bats, golf clubs, billiard queues, ski sticks, ice picks and other striking objects

Please remove those objects from your hand baggage and place them in your checked baggage otherwise they will be confiscated by airport security officers. These regulations also apply to objects purchased at the airport.

There are certain items that you are not allowed to carry either in your hand baggage or in your checked baggage. If your baggage contains one of these items, the check-in agent may ask you to take it out and you may carry it only as cargo.

New EU Security Rules at Airports for liquids in hand baggage

The European Union (EU) has adopted new security rules which restrict the amount of liquids that you may take into your hand luggage.

Such liquids include:

All drinks, including water, soup, syrups, yoghurt
Creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, liquid gloss or mascara and other liquid cosmetic products
Sprays and pressurized containers including shaving foam and spray deodorants
Pastes, including toothpaste
Gels, including hair and shower gel
Any other solutions and items of similar consistency

These rules apply to all passengers departing from airports in the EU whatever their destination.

These liquids must be packed in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 milliliters each. The maximum quantity allowed is 1,000 ml (1 liter) per person. These containers must be packed in a single, transparent re-sealable plastic bag (approximate size 20 cm x 20 cm). The contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and the bag sealed. Each passenger may carry only one such bag of liquids.

It is mandatory that you present this bag separately to the airport security.

The new rules do not limit the quantities of liquids that you can buy from duty free sales at the airport. These liquids must be kept in sealable plastic packages before they are screened, including proof of purchase at the given airport on the day of the flight.
In case you wish to transport larger amounts of liquids, you should carry them in the checked baggage.

Attention! If the liquids carried in your hand baggage exceed the limit allowed or if they are carried in an unsealed bag, the items will be confiscated by the security officers.

If you come from a non-EU country, entering an EU country, you will have to submit to EU rules. You will not be allowed more than 1000 ml liquids in your hand baggage, transported in the conditions mentioned above. If you buy liquids after you have passed the security check (which is situated in the "sterile zone"), you are allowed to carry them in your hand baggage.

Exceptions: The following items you may transport outside the plastic bag as hand baggage:

Liquid baby food or sterilized water (if traveling together with a baby or a little child)
Special liquid dietary nutrition (e.g. for medical purposes)
Medication (for your entire journey, including stay at destination)
